Quietly Seeking

Quickly, quickly

Come to me.

He calls out,

Here is my cup

Yet, why don’t you drink

Quietly, He seeks me.

Loudly I wait

With fists raised

And head shaking

I move, but go nowhere.

Patiently, He waits with me.

I talk, yet hear nothing.

But, He speaks.

A wisp of breath

That cleansed my heart

To keep me His;

Redeeming my soul

For eternity.
